Diploma in Corporate Administration, UiTM

assalamualaikum and hi there :)
decided to do a blog post about this because during my days, I can't find anything related to this course or anything that explains about this course cus this course is kinda new in UiTM.

so currently, I'm studying in Diploma in Corporate Administration (DCA) or dalam bahasa melayu dia Diploma Pentadbiran Korporat. Diploma ni bawah Fakulti Sains Pentadbiran dan Pengajian Polisi and the faculty is located in Seremban. Setakat ni la. Dulu dia dekat main campus Shah Alam and if i'm not mistaken dia sekali dengan faculty of law but not sure bout that. Tapi after years and years, we got our own faculty in seremban! Together with us in the faculty is Diploma in Public Administration (DPA), Bachelor of Administrative Science and Bachelor of Corporate Administration and the latest addition to the family, Bachelor of Environmental Studies (BEVA)

DIFFERENCES

So, i'm just going to focus on the diploma la kan. Apa beza DPA & DCA? Basically, beza dia, DPA macam nanti kerja under government (or smthg like that) and DCA more to private sector. Tu je. I guess? Idk there's no other easier ways to say it.

FUTURE CAREER

Ok lepas tu, the future career of DCA is Company Secretary. But, wait let me explain this. This one is not the secretary yang kerja buat air, sambut tetamu or wtv like that ok? You could actually google more about this company secretary. Neh i know you're lazy. Let me link it HERE . Ok la patutnya tak boleh la kan link to wikipedia but nvm you'll get the idea of the job scope. It's more to a professional career la. But to be one, you need to take exams too for the license and in Malaysia, the license is given by Malaysia Company Secretary Association. The roles and duties? The link is HERE . Read, people! Read!

SUSAH KE?

idk man. I'm currently in my second semester but I'm still alive & breathing so i guess it's not that hard. But! This course needs you to read, memorize and write more essays! For a pure science student like me, it's kinda hard for me to get the subjects as it involves account, statistics, economy but with the help of the lecturers and friends, you'll be fine but i'll recommend this course more to the social science students.

But the most subject that you'll learn is more about management or administration subjects.

I'll insert a pic of the course outline for DCA down here. With a total of 5 semesters to be finished and if you're interested in pursuing the same course for bachelor in uitm, i mean, Bachelor of Corporate Administration, you'll be directly into the third sem of the study if I am not mistaken as the credit transfer banyak jugak la.

This is my latest course outline from the year 2017. So in this 5 semester, the course description is the subjects that you are going to take for the whole diploma level.

From my experience, I enjoyed the ADM classes the most. Ohh and Law too!

Oh! Yuran.. Neh yuran uitm is the cheapest among the public universities. The first semester, tak sampai RM1K pun. Around rm7++ if i'm not mistaken. And for the following semesters, Rm5++. Plus, you could take PTPTN's loan and ada bantuan zakat gak untuk yang tak mampu.

I know most of the people (especially the straight A's students), you wanna take diploma tapi you rasa cam people judge about it kan sebab come on la you straight A kot. Pandai. Takkan amik diploma je. Yeah me and my friends went through that too! Ignore what people say about you. If your parents agree to your decision, pursue em. You are the one who's going to study, anyway. Not them. So, why bother?

Whatever it is, choose wisely and make the best decision for your UPU form! Good luck and all the best!
